Wilderness is the best reason
to visit Vancouver and Whistler.

It's no secret that we are not the most culturally inclined folk on the planet. Granted we do have an art gallery, and a few good live performance venues, and they do exhibit and produce great shows, but it is our mountains, the Pacific ocean and our vast temperate rain forests that will woo your heart.

BC's back-to-nature WOW ! FACTOR is unparalleled.

Walking tours in our urban wilderness are unique.

Vancouver and Whistler travel agents have firsthand knowledge.

Not only do they book'em, they Guide'em ... regularly !!

Whistler Events

Vancouver has been a tourist town for a long time, which means our travel agents and tour guides have mountains of experience helping visitors plan not only local trips, but also assisting in emergencies when accommodations, flight or ground plans change unexpectedly.

Our convention business is also growing rapidly, so whether your needs are tourist or business related, they handle it all with grace and speed.

You might be able to get yourself here by booking directly online or through your favorite airline, but once you arrive, our experienced and certified planners and guides can turn your trip from simply great, into a once in a lifetime experience.

The most challenging aspect of visiting an Olympics region is the chaos. Your local travel agent will be way over her head and essentially useless unless she here on the ground with you. It often takes forever to do anything or get anywhere during an Olympics event. If someone tells you it will take one hour plan on three. Leave yourself plenty of time and dress warmly because you could stand outdoors in huge lines for way longer than you expect. Take a small umbrella with you everywhere you go and also wear shoes made to keep your feet dry.

Olympics organizations and host cities are often so disorganized you'll spend way too many hours stuck on a bus or in a line going nowhere. When you do finally break free of 5 Ring shackles, you won't have as much time as you thought to explore, so you better plan properly and know where you're going.

A small miscalculation in an Olympics region
can ruin an incredible, once in a life time opportunity.

Olympic regions are not for the faint-of-heart or casual stroller. To begin, the crowds are oppressive. 250,000 people are expected to show up, and 245,00 will have almost the same ideas. If you don't have someone helping you avoid these crowds you'll waste time you can't afford.

We have a number of walking tours in the city that can be chaperoned, or you can strike out on your own and explore urban sights as well as ocean and forest walks - all in one session if you plan properly. With a little knowledge you can plan for a more casual stroll that includes unique shopping, or more hearty treks straight up the side of a mountain.

A Dinner or Party Boat Cruise in our quiet bays or along the rugged coast is unique and incredible. You can pick a Captain that plays jazz or hard rock, but choose carefully because some boats are more like tugs.

Quite often you can judge the quality
of service by the company's website.

We also have a few "clothing optional" ( nude ) beaches that,
depending on the season, make for a stimulating afternoon stroll.
Actually, Vancouver has the biggest nude beach in the world. On a good day it attracts 3,000 plus partiers, but you'd better know the unspoken rules or you'll get turfed out on your bare butt.

Rule #1 - NO PICTURES!
... but almost everything else goes
including sex, drugs and Rock'n Roll.

Weather is always a serious issue, so you have to arrive prepared. When time is tight you don't want to waste it scrambling for suitable clothing.

It rains here - a lot, and in ten minutes
it could be sunny, or blowing ice and snow.
