Oh yeah ... we also grow more illegal pot than any region in North America. It is estimated that over 110,000 people in BC work in the marijuana trade, so needless to say, we're pretty laid back and liberal.

We don't rush around a lot, and life appears simple when seen over the handlebars of the swarms of bicycles zipping throughout Metro Vancouver... but it's actually quite complex.

2010 Winter Olympics excitement has ratcheted us up to full chaotic speed. Regardless of what the Olympics experts trumpet, they are no longer in control of this animal. We are all clutching its mane, and like most host regions, simply along for the ride.

All Olympics regions are chaotic, and we're no exception.

So when you arrive, come prepared for everything and anything. We hope you enjoy BC, and like it so much that you come back, but again, we're as new to this as you probably are. By 2006 our 2010 party was already playing out to become a modern version of Rod Serling's wild wild west with a cast of "space cowboys" in place of traditional ride'm cowboys, although we do have a few of those too, so bring your chaps if you're so inclined - extreme sports geared preferred though.

If you plan this right ... 2010 will be a thrill of a lifetime.
... at the very least ... it will blow the freakin' lid off your month.
