Vancouver and Whistler are tourist towns,
which means we know how to PARTY !!

Vancouver is hardcore multicultural.

You can find anything here you're looking for in the BAR & SEX scene.

We have big Anglo, Euro, Indo, & Asian populations, plus we're only a one hour drive from the U.S. border and close to Seattle.

Vancouver is also a university town. Students love to imbibe, but they often don't have a lot of cash, which means if you know where to go, it's party central where the hard bodies grind and the drinks flow cheap and like the Amazon - long and deep. Oi!!

The really unique party clubs are spread out in hidden little pockets all over the city. Our trendy bar strip on Granville Street is the official Olympic option, but the problem there is that when it gets crowded (always) it gets violent. Stabbings, shootings, and beatings are common.

It's also in the "O" or as they say on the street, the "T" zones - t being high security bomb and drug sniffing dog compounds circled with razor wire to protect against terrorism. Mag and Bag central.

If you can afford the $500 a night ticket at Hockey House where even the IOC claims you'll be safer, send a Twitpic of the fun. Ticket sales were so slow they slashed prices for a half day ticket, but you still have to hang out in a tent in wet cold Vancouver. I can think of more inviting places

If you're looking for a safe party zone steer clear of the downtown core and Granville and jump across the bridge to Kitsilano or slip east to Commercial Drive where the parties rage all night.

Fringe neighborhoods are more fun, safer, and affordable.

Granville strip crowds are always oppressive and even more so during the Olympics, which means the police and military have it locked down like prison. Mag & Bag security lines to get in and constant surveillance. They have to spend that billion dollar security tab somewhere.

The good news is that club owners in other areas have been preparing for years to welcome Olympic tourists to the "F" zones ... f for FUN.

Bottom line - if you don't know where to go ... you'll miss the action
(click for another reason to avoid crowds in Olympics regions)

We also have world class CASINOS that party like Vegas.
